Ars Poetica 12

Ars Poetica is a term meaning "The Art of Poetry" or "On the Nature of Poetry". The target of my pictures is to present a kind of a Creation Dictionary:Mirror: polished surface that forms images by reflecting light. What does the mirror reflect? Truth, honesty, the content of the heart. The mirror is also the symbol of creative intelligence. Yet, the reflection of light also introduces a certain amount of illusion...Dust:fine powdery material such as dry earth or pollen that can be blown about in the air;the remains of something that has been destroyed or broken up;Genesis 3:19:"In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return."Candle:stick of wax with a wick in the middle;light source;represents the light of God and as a result the candle may also be the symbol of re-birth and cleansing.It could represent revelation.Feather:the light horny waterproof structure forming the external covering of birds;feathers deal with ascension and spiritual evolution to a higher plane;Feathers mean travel or the ability to move more freely in life.Book: physical objects consisting of a number of pages bound together;a number of sheets (ticket or stamps etc.) bound together on one edge;At another level the book may represent the Universe, or the other way around, The Universe may be considered as a big book. It is also identified as the Life Tree: the tree's leaves, just like the book's characters represent all the beings and the Divine Laws.This Dictionary should have contained other definitions too such as for: thought, inspiration, creativity, time, expression, and many others, but I would rather the image to express all these instead of a long and boring essay which you may not have the patience to read.
